Petrol motorbikes have a much lower initial cost and longer range, while electric motorbikes can be cheaper to run, require less maintenance, and have a lower environmental impact. The best choice depends on your needs: petrol bikes are better for long-distance riding and for those on a tighter budget, while electric bikes are quieter riding and for riders prioritizing low running costs and Eco sustainability. Many argue about the actual Eco Sustainability claims of Electric given the Rare Earth extraction impact of Batteries on the planet.
HOWEVER...
When we are considering Off Road bikes, there are many other factors to consider.
Generally Off Roaders like to Compete with other riders. If you are a family or you want to ride with friends, the relative costs are major factors. The cost of a WPB 212 Beast, for example, is only £1599.00 currently, and you can have two of the bikes for less than the cost of an equivalent power and spec Electric bike such as the Stomp Haywire. Lots of the bikes such as Ebox will never compete with the likes of any Petrol Pitbike or Dirt Bike, they are just a bit of fun. And Equally you can have two WPB 110 Boyo bikes for the same price as one Smaller Stomp EBox.
The second issue is that Many Fathers wish for their Sons or Daughters to learn to ride a Motorbike and Off Road is often the route to On Road riding and obtaining a Bike Licence. Whilst you can obtain a bike licence with an electric bike it is regarded as an AUTOMATIC and as such the rider will be excluded from Riding any bike with Gears such as the Majority of Real bikes on the road that are Petrol with Gears. Therefore the Off Road Petrol PitBike and Dirt Bike still, and always will, remain an essential element of the Real Biking Experience.
